Improve Your Photography Skills

Thu 16 Sep,1 day course 10.30am– 5.30pm, £65 (£55)

For those with a digital SLR (or compact camera) who would like to improve their photography skills. The course will be run by Vanessa Miles, wedding, portrait and press photographer who has spent many years as a picture editor and is Greenpeace photographer for Glastonbury 2010.

Some technical advice will be on offer but the main emphasis will be use of light and composition in images of people. Photos taken during the day will be displayed at the end of the session. Participants are encouraged to bring in a small selection of their own images.

A series of free drop-in workshops, exploring DIY electronics for music.
Come along and work on your own projects, or buy and build a hahafresh kit. From circuit bending to Synth DIY. Suitable for beginners, tinkerers and total geeks.

Moving Image Production

Mon 9–Fri 13 Aug, 1 week course 10.30am–5.30pm, £300 per person (£250 conc per person)

This course is geared toward those who wish to develop skills in video production. Subjects include; camera set up and operation, lighting format and workflows, sound recording, single camera location, down converting HD video, and editing in Final Cut Pro Studio.

Introduction to Digital Photography for Beginners

Whether you have a digital camera or not, come and discover for yourself the possibilities offered by this exciting medium. We will show you how to take digital photographs, download them to the computer and use Adobe Photoshop to enhance, manipulate and print out superb results.

Introduction to Web Design: Website Creation for Beginners

Tue 31 Aug-Thu 2 Sep, 10.30am–5.30pm, £200 (£180)

Using Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop, this 3 day course will cover the basic construction and upload of a website. Students will have the opportunity to create their own website. Bring content (text and images) that you wish to transform onto the web. Ideal for students, self-employed and small businesses. Some computer literacy is desirable.

Photoshop: Digital Image Manipulation for Beginners

Wed 8 & Thu 9 Sep, 10.30am–5.30pm, £135 (£120)

An intensive two day beginner’s course teaching Photoshop skills and concepts, giving you confidence in using this powerful image manipulation software. The course will show you how to work with layers, and resize images for printing and website use. There will be time allocated for questions and individual needs will be catered for where possible.
